Todays cars require much more maintenance than ever. We can no longer just change the oil every 3000 miles and call it good. Proper maintence will require you to change Power steering, Brake, Transmission, Coolant, and Differential fluids on a regular basis. The good news is that when properly maintained you will experience fewer brake downs. Other than parts that wear out, such as brake pads, tires, and ball joints, you really shouldn't have to replace a brake caliper or power steering pump on today's cars. The main reason we do is because the fluids become contaminated with age and use and cause damage to internal seals which causes early failure.
Simply put, any part that comes in contact with a fluid (ie) power steering, brake, etc.. needs to have that fluid flushed on a regular basis, every 30k to 50k. We at Paulin's Tire and Auto Care are very passionate about our committment to fluid maintenance. We are partnered with Valvoline and use their entire line of non-solvent based flush products.
